33 year old, Theodora Robinson’s career at Goedgedacht started in 2006 where she was employed as financial clerk for 12 years before resigning to serve the community of Porterville. Today, 2 years later, Theodora manages all operations at the Porterville POP Centre where she and her team of volunteers serve the community daily.
As a mother of 2 beautiful daughters, she admits to being afraid of getting infected with the COVID-19 virus, but it is the smiles on the faces of children that bring peace and renewed energy to her anxious heart.
She is fondly known for being passionate and kind, whilst also gracefully stern in getting people to wear their masks – a few weeks back for instance, a young man came walking down the street and when he saw Theodora, he stopped in his tracks to go fetch his mask.
From a farming community herself, Theodora strives to remain humble and to always put the needs of children first. “I realize, especially now with this pandemic, that I have so much to be thankful for; I have a house to live in, food on my table, and warm clothes to wear – what more could I possibly ask for when so many people are living without these basic things, which we all need to survive”.
Thank you Theodora, we appreciate you.
