Thank you for caring at Christmas. What should be a joyful time in the homes of farm workers is instead a time of hardship. The wheat harvest is over, meaning that there is no more work. And only the grape farms without mechanical harvesters may have a little employment to offer.
Christmas here can be very bleak – but then comes your box of blessings which changes everything. Knowing that someone cares is a gift in itself. And the groceries mean that families won’t go hungry at Christmas.
Thank you, so much.
